Rewiring Resilience. At the Source.
NRx has developed state-of-the-art, robotically controlled Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation — combined with neuroplastic medication — to precisely target and treat the brain centers that cause depression, PTSD, and suicidality.
The Numbers Demand a Better Answer
Depression, PTSD, and suicidality affect warfighters and first responders at four times the civilian rate. Conventional antidepressants mask symptoms, impair performance, and sideline careers. NRx was built to do better.
Precision Neuroscience. Engineered for Readiness.
NRx combines functional MRI-guided neuronavigation with robotically controlled TMS and neuroplastic medication — a three-part platform that identifies the exact malfunctioning brain centers, targets them with sub-millimeter precision, and primes the brain to rewire.
fMRI Neuronavigation
Functional MRI identifies the precise brain centers that are malfunctioning in each patient's depression or PTSD — not a population average, but that individual's specific neural pathology. This imaging data becomes the targeting map for every treatment session.
Robotically Controlled TMS
The robotic TMS system uses the fMRI neuronavigation map to deliver magnetic stimulation to the exact brain centers identified as malfunctioning — with sub-millimeter accuracy that manual TMS placement cannot achieve. Every pulse lands on target, every session.
Neuroplastic Medication
TMS works by driving the creation of new synapses — new connections — in the brain. NRx pairs this with FDA-investigational neuroplastic medications that have the potential to enhance that synaptogenic effect, amplifying the brain's capacity to form new, healthy neural connections beyond what TMS achieves alone.
Rapid Return to Duty
Because NRx protocols do not rely on conventional antidepressant drugs, personnel experience no cognitive dulling, no performance impairment, and no career-threatening medication flags. Treatment is designed around the operational requirement: return to full duty, fast.
Backed by the Best. Selected by DARPA.
NRx does not operate in isolation. Our platform is validated by world-class research institutions and has been selected for one of the most rigorous defense research programs in the world.
Harvard McLean Hospital
McLean Hospital — Harvard Medical School's largest psychiatric affiliate and consistently ranked among the world's top psychiatric research institutions — is a key clinical partner in the development and validation of the NRx platform. Phases 1 and 2 of the SPARC TMS Program were completed at Harvard Mclean.
HOPE Therapeutics
HOPE Therapeutics brings deep expertise in novel therapeutic development to the NRx partnership — accelerating the translation of breakthrough neuroscience into deployable clinical protocols for warfighters and first responders.
DARPA SPARC-TMS Trial
NRx Defense Systems has been selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) for the SPARC-TMS clinical trial — listed on ClinicalTrials.gov — representing the U.S. government's highest-level endorsement of our TMS approach for warfighter mental health. Note: DARPA contract negotiation remains in process.
Osmind
Osmind powers the largest network of interventional psychiatry practices in the U.S. — with 1M+ treatments delivered and 3.6M+ outcomes measured across 1,000+ practices. Their AI-powered EHR and billing infrastructure, purpose-built for TMS, Spravato, and emerging modalities, provides the clinical operations backbone for scaling the NRx protocol across DoD and VA-affiliated practices.
Emobot
Emobot develops AI-driven emotional health assessment technology that enables objective, real-time measurement of psychological states. Their platform complements the NRx protocol by providing continuous, data-driven monitoring of warfighter mental health — bridging the gap between clinical treatment sessions and ongoing readiness assessment.
Zeta Surgical
Zeta Surgical delivers next-generation real-time frameless neuronavigation — FDA-cleared for TMS with sub-millimeter positional accuracy and less than 1° angular accuracy, deployable beyond the OR without cranial fixation or general anesthesia. Their Zeta TMS Robotic System, first commercially deployed at HOPE Therapeutics, provides the precision navigation layer that enables the NRx platform's sub-millimeter TMS targeting.
"We don't treat symptoms. We rewire the source."
NRx Defense Systems was founded on a conviction that the warriors and first responders who carry the weight of our safety deserve more than a prescription that trades one problem for another.
Our proprietary platform — robotically controlled TMS combined with neuroplastic medication — represents a fundamental advance in how the brain's own capacity for change can be harnessed to restore readiness.
Validated by Harvard McLean Hospital, partnered with HOPE Therapeutics, and selected by DARPA for the SPARC-TMS trial, NRx is the most rigorously credentialed TMS platform in the warfighter mental health space.
